APPEARANCE
Rin Kagamine is a young blue-eyed female Vocaloid, with shoulder length golden hair. Her clothes consist of a short white sleeveless white sailor fuku shirt, the edges with yellow lace, with a big grey collar and large yellow bow. The shirt has a small gold plaque with the word 'VOCALOID' underneath on the left side of her torso. She also wears a shorts held up by a yellow and orange belt, two separated dark grey sleeves with yellow edges and electronic displays on the lower arms, knee height leg warmers with yellow edges, white knee height boots with yellow soles and has a orange and yellow belt at her waist. On her head, she has a pair of white headphones with bright yellow lights and a microphone and a big white hairbow. On her left upper arm is printed the numbers '02' in bright red. Rin's short golden hair is held in place by four white -sometimes black- hairpins, two on the forehead, two on her right sidetail.
PERSONALITY
As Rin's personality is decided by the fans, there have been many different interpretations of her. On top of that, many music videos place the characters in different situations and roles, but, as music videos are almost always fantasy even in the real world, these can be disregarded. However, there are recurring aspects of Rin's personality that can be pieced together with her most important songs and videos. Tsundere, despite Rin's use of it to make herself seem better than Miku, is actually a good term to describe her most of the time. She tends to treat the people she appreciates the most as if she doesn't like them at all, a very good example being her twin brother. This is probably due to the fact that, when it comes to showing appreciation, she gets very, very shy, as in the song "I Like You, I Love You" in which half of the lyrics are just her struggling to say the title, never quite getting all the way through until the very end.

"Rin, I've been looking for you everywhere." Len said, seeming as if he just ran a mile as his chest rose and sunk heavily.
"Rin-chaaan!" Miku bounded over to the other, hopping up and down in excitement.
"I haven't seen you in foreverr!! How are you?"
"Ehhh? Miku? OH. Miku!" Rin smiled cheerfully, "Yup. It's been forever!" She thought for a second, "Um I'm good I guess."
"I know, right?" The turquoise diva folded her hands and put them behind her head, leaning back a bit.
"That's good, that's good! Same here~" She giggled and stood flat on her feet once more, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Soooo, anything happen between you and Kaito while I was gone~? Or anybody, really. And don't try and sell me short- I want alll the details!!"
